How We Got Our Name...
Jimmie "Skeeter" Stephens was a beloved uncle of Pastor Tony's wife Kara. He had a larger than life personality and he never met a stranger as he rolled around on his custom built Harley Davidson motorcycles. Skeeter was famous for saying "Keep The Change" after the meal especially if you were buying!
In October 2009, Skeeter passed away from complications after surgery. As a tribute to Skeeter, we decided to name our pantry Keep The Change. It serves a dual meaning, we want to show people that they are loved and cared about regardless of econmic stature and most importantly, Jesus loves them and cares for them too!
Our aim is to show the love of God to each person who walks through our pantry doors and hopefully they will not only get a physical need met but a spiritual need met as well. That "change" is the one we pray will impact their lives more than the food they receive!
We are proud partners with The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and we are supported by charitable and food donations from our church and community! If you're interested in making donations please send a check or money order to Keep The Change 23749 Old Valley Pike, Woodstock, VA 22664.
From Pastor Tony's song "Keep The Change"...
You can come to Jesus and He won't tell you no.
When you need forgiveness there's an everlasting flow.
Your new life is waiting come in from the pain.
Jesus paid the price you can "Keep The Change!"
